Material Assistance for Parents & Babies
Modesto Pregnancy Center’s medical clinics (First Choice Health Services) offers free pregnancy services, parenting classes, and material support such as diapers, wipes, formula, and baby clothing through participation in its programs. Beyond the material assistance, it’s a good place for parents to find community.
Healthy Families Stanislaus provides free home-visiting support, parent education, and connections to community resources for pregnant women and families with young children.
Financial Assistance & Benefits Navigation
Community Services Agency is often the first stop for CalWORKs, CalFresh, Medi-Cal, childcare assistance, and other county-based support programs.
Calling 211 (United Way's referral service) can help families identify local rental assistance, utility assistance, food resources, and emergency support programs. Community members frequently recommend it for navigating available aid.

Healthy Start Family Resource Center helps families access childcare resources, healthcare enrollment, counseling support, housing application assistance, and parenting education.

Food Pantries & Free Groceries
The Food Initiative of Greater Stanislaus operates mobile food distributions throughout Stanislaus County and partners with churches and community organizations to provide groceries, clothing, and other necessities with minimal barriers to access.
Nineveh Outreach Pantry serves hundreds of families through a weekly free food distribution and additional community outreach events.
