Sanctity of Human Life Month

This January marks the 40th commemoration of the National Sanctity of Human Life Day. Ronald Reagan designated January 22nd, 1984 as the first National SoHL Sunday, observing that it was the 11th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court ruling that made abortion legal in all 50 states. For 40 years churches and various institutions around our country have taken time in January to remember the lives lost through abortion and euthanasia, and to pray for all the lives altered through these decisions.

Modesto Pregnancy Center will be visiting with a few local churches during the month of January to talk about the sanctity of human life. If you belong to a church and would like information to share with your congregation, check out our included bulletin insert that you may print and distribute as needed.

Modesto Pregnancy Center was incredibly thrilled to offer a first-time ever event: a women’s gathering titled “Power to be a Witness.”

We worshipped together (led by the team at LifeSong church in Stockton), and it was clear that the Holy Spirit was present in that room. We left feeling both encouraged and challenged and, above all, humbled at the goodness of the God we serve.
